Jack was buried in full dress blues.
 This was his "tunic" which bore his rank, insignia, and ribbons.  I am still not sure just why I took a picture of it....I guess it was because I had never had a chance to see him in blues before.

I wanted to remember what it would have looked like if he had worn it for some occasion.

The Marine Corp Honor Guard, the Navy Chaplin and the Marine Corp Honor Guard Sergeant.

The Service Begins.  They take Jack from the hearse.

They carry him to the gravesite.

At the site, they prepare to lower the casket onto the rails.  The actual site is behind the Chaplain and the Sergeant, but the constant rain had made it impossible to hold the ceremony directly over the grave.  We had to hold the service in the grassy area just in front of where Jack will rest.
