The Honor Guard holds the flag over the casket throughout the ceremony, until signaled to begin folding it.

(A Note about the casket:  This casket was designed for our military veterans by a place called Art Caskets.  It was just beautiful, with scenes all around it having to do with Marines.  They make them for all branches of the service, and I could not resist it. Jack was a Marine down to his soul...)

The Navy Chaplain did a wonderful job. He asked questions about Jack, and he put the service together as though he had known him, himself.  He honored Jack with his words, and the tone with which he said them.

The Chaplain says a final prayer for Jack.....

The firing sqaud fires the salute.....

The buglar plays taps.....

Open the Popup Window to hear
taps and to read about it's origin,
and the origin of the 21 gun
salute.
