This Page Belonged to Jack, or "DaRat" or "TunnelRat8" to those who knew
him.

Jack passed away on February 28 2002. I will keep this page open for him, and for the veterans who he tried to provide this information for.  He loved his brothers ~ I hope the information in these pages will be of help.

Special Message:
April 14, 2001

Today we celebrate the release of 24 American Service Men and Women
from the bonds of the Chinese. We give thanks that they did not have to
endure the pain of a long term imprisonment, and we are overjoyed at their
return. But it is also a reminder of those we never bothered to bring home.
The POW/MIAs.  In their honor I state the following:

Today, thousands of Americans who went in harms way to make others
free have never returned home. Millions of Americans with family members
who served in the military overseas, and died there, were buried where
they fell. Back then, it was impossible to bring every American home.
But times have changed and things are different.

European nations, incapable of resolving their own problems in the past,
are finally now talking about working together without needing United
States help and rescue. That is good. What is not good is that
hundreds of thousands of Americans who gave their lives so that others
might be free, remain the yearly source of income in millions of US
tourist dollars. Even after fifty years the burial locations of
Americans who died fighting overseas are unknown to thousands of
American families. Yet, although some nations have created or
sponsored websites for American military cemeteries, all have
deliberately refused to publicly list the names of Americans interned
in those cemeteries because they desire American tourist and research
dollars.

When an American soldier goes abroad to give his or her life they
expect to one day be brought home so that their loved ones can lay
flowers on their resting place. For over seventy years, since the end
of World War I, it has been impossible for millions of Americans to
visit the gravesite of their son or daughter, father or grandfather,
aunt or uncle, cousin or friend. The same is true for thousands of
families who lost a loved one during World War II.

It is time for every American to be brought home.

Jack Henshaw, April 2001

"Among the honors, postings, promotions, and medals
that have been awarded me, the one in which I take most pride
is to be able to say- "I am a Marine".

Once a Marine...

Always a Marine.
